Catastrophe Management Services
Hudson, OH
Catastrophe Management Services provides information technology and emergency staffing support to the insurance industry, with immediate call-center capability during catastrophic events (hurricanes, floods, etc.). The uniqueness of their business model requires a large amount of office space that is only partially occupied the majority of time, but with the ability to accommodate 100% use of all available space during peak periods.
This project, located in Hudson Ohio, was a comprehensive 3-story renovation of an existing abandoned 50,000 square foot building . The project included complete replacement of HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical systems.
The HVAC system included a highly flexible and energy-efficient Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system that permitted the system to be scaled back to serve only the normally occupied areas , but with capacity to also serve the entire facility at full occupancy only when needed.
Electrical systems included Generator and UPS power back-up for the entire facility, and a automated lighting control system that provides lighting only in occupied areas.
